We have the expertise to design systems to meet your fire risk assessment requirements and will offer the equipment that best suits your building layout. As a BAFE SP203-1 accredited company our systems are all designed and installed to comply with BS5839 Part 1:2017.
Off site monitoring is often an insurance requirement and as such we are able to offer various forms of signalling (i.e. Red Care / Dualcom) through to a dedicated Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) who can contact keyholders / fire brigades should your fire alarm be activated.
Nexus offer an integrated solution; we can provide Refuge Points, WC Alarms, Pager Warning, Voice Evacuation, Air Sampling, Fire Log Books, Operational Training, System Testing and 24hr Emergency call out cover.
Should anything happen it is the responsibility of the business owner to prove to the authorities if asked that they have engaged a competent company to install and maintain their fire alarm system.
The only way of doing this is by using a fire alarm company that holds 3rd party approval certification, there are currently 2 types of third party approval that companies can hold which are LPS1014 or BAFE SP203. By holding one of these third party approvals it means that the company is assessed by outside auditors to ensure that they have the relevant qualified personnel, engineering ability and documentation in place to be able to undertake any fire alarm works. A company not holding any kind of third party approval has no means of qualifying their expertise and as such should not be appointed to work on fire alarm systems.
Nexus Fire and Security are BAFE SP203 certified holding all the relevant modules which are as follows: System Design, Installation, Commissioning / Handover, Maintenance.
